Job Title: Sr. Service Engineer

Department: Technical Service group

Experience: Minimum 2 year experience in AV industry.

Job Summary:
An Audio Visual Service Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, and repair of audio-visual equipment and systems. This role involves ensuring that audio-visual solutions operate seamlessly, meeting the needs of clients and users. The Audio Visual Service Engineer may work in various settings, including corporate offices, educational institutions, conference centers, and event venues. Candidate having prior experience in handling Audio Visual products will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:


1) Installation and Setup:

  • Install and configure audio-visual equipment, such as projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
  • Ensure that all installations meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards.


    2) Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on audio-visual equipment to prevent technical issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with audio-visual systems to identify and resolve hardware or software issues promptly.


    3) Repairs and Replacements:
  • Carry out repairs on audio-visual equipment and systems when components or software fail.
  • Replace faulty parts or devices as necessary to maintain optimal system performance.


    4) Calibration and Optimization:
  • Calibrate audio-visual systems for optimal performance, including video displays, sound quality, and control interfaces.
  • Optimize settings for different types of events, presentations, or meetings.


    5) Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, including equipment configurations, service reports, and spare parts inventory.


    6) User Training:
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on the proper use of audio-visual equipment and systems.
  • Create user guides and instructional materials as needed.


    7) Technology Upgrades:
  • Stay informed about the latest audio-visual technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems when appropriate.


    8) Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other IT or technical teams to integrate audio-visual systems with broader technology infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their audio-visual needs and provide solutions accordingly.


    9) Stay Updated:
  • Keep abreast of emerging audiovisual technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Attend training sessions and seminars to enhance technical knowledge.


    Qualifications and Skills:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications
  • Proficiency in operating, configuring, and troubleshooting various audio-visual equipment and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of audio and video technologies, signal processing, and network integration.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, colleagues, and end-users.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computer networking and control systems is a plus.
