Job Title: Sr. A/V Engineer.

Department: Technical Installation / Service group.

Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in A/V Projects.

Gender: Only male candidates will be preferred


Summary:
An Audio Visual Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing audiovisual systems and solutions for various projects. These professionals combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving to create immersive audio and visual experiences in environments such as conference rooms, theaters, event venues, and educational institutions. Audio Visual Engineers work closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to ensure the successful integration and operation of AV systems.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in implementing audiovisual systems.
  • Proficiency in AV control system and able to assist AV Programmer for on Site Programming Related work..
  • Strong knowledge of audio and video equipment, signal processing, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with networking principles and protocols relevant to AV systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Industry certifications, are a plus.
  • Familiarity with various AV software and applications for multimedia presentations and Software Video Conferencing.
  • Should have basic operation skills of computer
  • Should be Disciplined and Maintain good peer to peer relations
  • Flexibility to work outstations for short or long time Durations.
  • Ability to Manage Small Team of 4-5 Jr. AV Engineers/Technicians
  • Ability to effectively Read Schematics, Site Layouts and Various drawings provided during execution
  • Should have Basic Know-how of Network Deployment and Network Infrastructure
  • Reporting to Project Managers



Key Responsibilities:


1) Equipment Setup, Installation and Operation:

  • Set up and configure audiovisual equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems etc.
  • Operate and troubleshoot AV equipment during project installation.


    2) System Integration:
  • Support the integration of various AV components and devices under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist in connecting and troubleshooting audio and video sources, such as laptops, media players, and recording equipment.
  • Ability to Read Schematics and Making the necessary Connectivity and verifying the same
  • Excellent Rack Dressing Skills


    3) Technical Expertise:
  • Configure AV control systems, such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron, to enable user-friendly control and automation.
  • Set up and calibrate audio equipment, including microphones, speakers, and amplifiers.
  • Configure video systems, including projectors, displays, and video conferencing equipment.


    4) Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct rigorous testing of AV systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Address and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies in the system.


    5) Documentation:
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including system design documents, equipment lists, and wiring diagrams.
  • Generate user manuals and training materials for clients and end-users.


    6) Project Management:
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.


    7) Client Communication:
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients, presenters, and users before, during installation.
  • Assist in instructing technician on the operation of AV equipment and installations procedures.
  • Conduct client demonstrations and training sessions on AV systems.


    8) Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
  • diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and malfunctions, During the project Installations.
  • Provide post-installation support and maintenance services for AV systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.


    9) Coordination:
  • Collaborate with senior team members to assist in planning and executing AV installation for various projects.


    10) Stay Updated:
  • Keep abreast of emerging audiovisual technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Attend training sessions and seminars to enhance technical knowledge.


    11) Health and Safety:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling AV equipment and electrical connections.
  • Learn to ensure that AV setups and installations meet safety standards.


    12) Documentation:
  • Assist in Making Site Progress/Project Report.
  • Assist in maintaining records of AV equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, Installation schedule and Other project Related documents..


    An Audio Visual Engineer plays a pivotal role in transforming spaces into immersive audio and visual environments. They leverage technical expertise, creativity, and attention to detail to implement AV solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.


    Working Conditions:
    The job may require irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to support Installations and projects. It will also involve travel, and Short or Long Outstation Stays depending on project locations.
