Job Overview:
A Junior Audio Visual Engineer is an entry-level position in the field of audiovisual technology and engineering. These professionals assist Audio Visual Engineers and Senior Technicians in designing, setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual systems in various environments, such as conference rooms, event venues, and educational institutions. This role serves as a stepping stone for individuals aspiring to build a career in the AV industry and provides valuable hands-on experience.
Qualifications:
- diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework in AV technology are a plus.
- Basic understanding of audiovisual equipment and technology.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in audiovisual technology and engineering.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior team members.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry AV equipment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support installations.
- Familiarity with various AV software and applications for multimedia presentations and Software Video Conferencing.
- Should have basic operation skills of computer
- Should be Disciplined and Maintain good peer to peer relations
- Flexibility to work outstations for short or long time Durations.
Working Conditions:
The job may require irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to support Installations and projects. It will also involve travel, and Short or Long Outstation Stays depending on project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Equipment Setup, Installation and Operation:
- Set up and configure audiovisual equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems.
- Operate and troubleshoot AV equipment during project installation.
2) System Integration: - Support the integration of various AV components and devices under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in connecting and troubleshooting audio and video sources, such as laptops, media players, and recording equipment.
- Ability to Read Schematics and Making the necessary Connectivity and verifying the same
- Excellent Rack Dressing Skills
3) Maintenance and Troubleshooting: - Participate in routine maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and reliability of AV equipment.
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and malfunctions, During the project Installations.
4) Cable Management: - Help manage and organize audio and video cables to prevent tripping hazards and maintain a neat and professional appearance.
5) Client Support: - Provide technical support and assistance to clients, presenters, and users before, during installation.
- Assist in instructing technician on the operation of AV equipment and installations procedures.
6) Testing and Quality Control: - Assist in conducting equipment testing and quality checks before events to ensure all systems are operational.
- Assist in verifying that audio levels, video resolutions, and other settings meet client requirements.
7) Coordination:
a) Collaborate with senior team members to assist in planning and executing AV installation for various projects.
8) Health and Safety: - Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling AV equipment and electrical connections.
- Learn to ensure that AV setups and installations meet safety standards.
