Summary:
An Audio Visual (AV) Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, Execution and Successful completion of audio visual Projects, ensuring that they meet client requirements, are completed on time, and stay within budget. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project teams, and ensuring the seamless integration of AV Systems in diverse environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, with a focus on audiovisual or technology-related projects.
- Proficiency in AV control system and able to assist AV Programmer for on Site Programming Related work..
- Strong understanding of audiovisual equipment, systems integration, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking skills and troubleshooting skills.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Should have good operation skills of computer and Ability to draft various types of E-Mails.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in AV technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Should be Disciplined and Maintain good peer to peer relations
- Flexibility to work outstations for short or long time Durations.
- Budgeting and cost control expertise.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, Certified Technology Specialist – Installation or similar certifications are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
1) System Integration: - Support the integration of various AV components and devices under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in connecting and troubleshooting audio and video sources, such as laptops, media players, and recording equipment.
- Ability to Read Schematics and Making the necessary Connectivity and verifying the same
- Excellent Rack Dressing Skills
2) Technical Expertise: - Configure AV control systems, such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron, to enable user-friendly control and automation.
- Assist in setting up and configuring audiovisual equipment and systems.
- Configure video systems, including projectors, displays, and video conferencing equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support during Installations
- Ensure that all AV equipment is in working order and maintained properly.
3) Project Planning: - Collaborate with clients to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
4) Team Management: - Assemble and lead project teams, which may include AV engineers, technicians, programmers, and subcontractors.
- Assign roles and responsibilities, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and support to team members.
5) Vendor and Supplier Coordination: - Source and manage relationships with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure the timely delivery of AV equipment and materials.
6) Budget and Cost Control: - Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget.
7) Quality Assurance: - Ensure that AV systems are designed, installed, and configured to meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
8) Integration and Commissioning: - Oversee the integration and commissioning of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and automation components.
- Coordinate with AV engineers and programmers to ensure system functionality and performance.
9) Client Communication: - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, timelines, and any potential issues.
- Conduct project status meetings and presentations to keep clients informed.
- Keep clients informed about project progress and address any concerns or changes in requirements.
10) Documentation: - Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, change orders, equipment lists, and as-built drawings.
- Generate project reports and closeout documentation for clients.
11) Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: - Address technical issues and challenges that arise during the project, working closely with the project team to find solutions.
- Ensure timely resolution of any client concerns or complaints.
12) Health and Safety Compliance: - Ensure that all safety regulations and protocols are followed during project execution to maintain a safe work environment.
An Audio Visual Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of AV projects, from initial planning and design to installation and commissioning. They must manage the complexities of AV technology while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders to meet project goals and deliver high-quality AV solutions.
Working Conditions:
The job may require irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to support Installations and projects. It will also involve travel, and Short or Long Outstation Stays depending on project locations.
