The auditorium at Oberoi International School required an audio system upgrade to enhance the overall sound quality and performance. The new system features a state-of-the-art active line array speaker configuration, comprising:
The sprawling complex comprises multiple buildings, including:
- Two stacks of QSC KLA-12 speakers, each with three units, positioned on either side of the stage
- One KLA181 active subwoofer suspended in each array stack and two additional units placed on the floor
- QSC K8.2 speakers to fill the front area of the stage, ensuring comprehensive coverage
To minimize signal degradation and noise induction, the system is designed to limit analog cable runs. This is achieved by:
- Utilizing Q-Sys as the backbone for signal management
- Feeding speaker signals through Q-Sys Output Expansion boxes, strategically placed alongside the suspended speaker stacks, reducing analog cable runs to just a few meters
For event management, the system employs:
– Allen and Heath SQ7 Digital Console with AB168 Stagebox
The Q-Sys network is managed by Netgear’ s M4250 Series switch, ensuring reliable and efficient signal routing and distribution.
