The Dining Complex situated in Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur Ashram, completed in 2018, serves primarily as a dining hall capable of accommodating 10,000 devotees at once. The audio solution is designed to adapt to various operating scenarios beyond just dining. The small halls within the complex can be used individually or combined with adjacent halls to function as multipurpose spaces. The same audio platform is utilized for daily background music playback and paging announcements via a networked paging station.
There are a total of 16 zones, each of which can be separately controlled for background music (BGM) playback and paging announcements. This is achieved using Cloud Audio’s multichannel digital zone mixers and Biamp’s DSP for audio processing.
Different speakers are employed for audio reproduction:
- Bosch pendent speakers for multipurpose halls
- Bosch ceiling speakers for kitchen and general areas
- Electro-Voice weather-resistant outdoor speakers for open areas
These speakers are driven by five quad-channel power amplifiers from Powersoft.
Zone control is facilitated via iPads or remote wall plates mounted in each location, enabling local audio control for source selection, local playback, and volume adjustment.
