Project Overview

HDFC Bank Tubhe, a 6-floor facility, required an integrated Audio-Visual (AV) solution that would cater to a variety of needs, including meeting rooms, cafeterias, training areas, and open spaces. The AV system was designed with flexibility in mind, allowing plug-and-play functionality and easy adaptation to different requirements. The key objective was to create a user-friendly, scalable solution that enhances communication and collaboration while ensuring seamless operation across multiple floors and spaces.

Video, Audio, and Control System Design:

Multi-Display Setup: The design incorporated a multi-display system across various rooms to enhance visibility and interactivity:
Projection Systems & Displays:
  1. Various rooms were equipped with projection screens and projectors. The screen sizes ranged from 50″ to 98″. Touch-interactive displays were specifically deployed in training rooms for educational purposes.
  2. Ceiling and surface-mounted speakers were strategically installed for optimal audio distribution, with microphones and antenna systems used to enable clear communication between the presenter and audience.
To streamline operations, an intuitive control system was designed, allowing users to operate complex systems with ease. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) was developed to ensure simplicity and accessibility for all users.

Room-Specific AV Solutions:

1. Town Hall Area / Cafeteria:
The cafeteria area also functions as a town hall, designed for large gatherings and presentations. The AV setup includes:
a) Display Equipment:
  1. A Panasonic projector with a Ultra short throw lens and 137″ diagonal projection screen is used to project content across the large area.
  2. Samsung 55″ displays are deployed throughout the area as repeaters to ensure visibility from all corners.
b) Audio System:
  1. Bose surface-mount speakers deliver consistent and high-quality audio coverage across the entire area, while Bose amplifier system ensures adequate power.
  2. QSC digital signal processor (DSP) is integrated for managing audio processing and Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), ensuring clear communication even in larger, open spaces.
  3. Sennheiser antenna system extends the microphone range to ensure clear audio capture during speaker-presenter interactions.
c) Control Systems:

A QSC system with a touch panel interface is used to manage switching, audio levels, device on/off functionality, and real-time device status feedback.

The training rooms are equipped with advanced AV solutions to facilitate interactive learning and presentations:
a) Display Equipment:
LG 85″ and 98″ touch-interactive displays are used for annotation during training sessions, allowing both the trainer and audience to interact with content in real-time.
b) Audio System:
  1. Bose ceiling speakers provide sound reinforcement throughout the room, while Sennheiser handheld microphones ensure clear communication for the presenter.
  2. Xilica DSP is used to integrate the audio system, fine-tuning the audio for optimal performance.
c) Control Systems:
  1. A Crestron wall-mounted button control panel is installed to control both the display system and the audio system.
  2. Kramer faceplate provides easy HDMI and USB touch connectivity on the trainer’s table, enabling seamless connections for the trainer’s laptop.

The open areas on each of the 6 floors of the building are equipped with LG displays, ensuring that content can be broadcast across multiple spaces simultaneously. To enable this:

  1. Crestron DM NVX encoder-decoder solution is used for seamless content streaming. This AV-over-IP solution allows content from any location, including the manager’s desk, to be displayed across multiple screens.
  2. Team leaders have the ability to display content on predefined screens within their team’s area, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the building.

For small meeting rooms, the AV setup was designed for ease of use and flexibility:

a) Display Equipment:
LG wall-mounted displays are used for high-quality video presentations.
b) Audio System:
A Bose video bar is used to enhance the meeting experience, supporting BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) setups via USB-C or HDMI+USB-A connectivity.
c) Control Systems:
  1. Crestron cable cubby provides easy connectivity for laptop presentations.
  2. Lightware Taurus series switching system manages the video and audio inputs for seamless switching between different devices.
