Pre-Sales Engineer
Job Title : Audio Visual Pre-Sales Engineer
Department : Marketing and Sales group.
Experience : Minimum 5 to 7 years exp in AV Domain with at-least 2 to 3 years in Pre-sales.
Summary:
An Audio Visual Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for Providing technical expertise and Support to the sales team in the planning, design and proposal stages of AV projects. They work closely with customer to understand their requirements and offer customized AV Solution. The roles involves understanding the needs of the customer and Analyzing technical specifications, creating proposals and ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with the customer’s needs and meets expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of audiovisual systems, including hardware, software, and integration.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in AV design and project management software/tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., InfoComm, CTS) is a plus.
- Sales or pre-sales experience is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Consultation: Engage with customers to assess their AV needs and understand their specific requirements.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales team to design custom AV solutions that meet the customer’s objectives, budget, and technical specifications.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest audiovisual technologies, products, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
- Proposal Creation: Prepare detailed and professional proposals outlining the recommended AV solutions, including equipment lists, diagrams, and project timelines.
- Cost Estimation: Calculate project costs, including hardware, software, labor, and any additional services required.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver technical presentations to customers to explain the proposed solutions and address any questions or concerns.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, equipment specifications, and project plans.
- Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with AV equipment vendors and manufacturers to stay informed about product offerings and pricing.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that proposed AV solutions are technically feasible and align with industry best practices and standards.
- Support Sales Team: Collaborate with the sales team throughout the sales cycle, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support as needed.
- Customer Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with customers, addressing their technical concerns and providing post-sales support when required.
Project Handoff: Transition approved projects to the project implementation team, providing them with all necessary technical documentation and information.
