A Curated Showcase of Contemporary Indian Design, Enhanced Through Seamless AV Integration
Project Overview
Nilaya Anthology is a 100,000 sq. ft. design, culture, and retail destination that redefines how luxury, craft, and contemporary living come together. Located in the heart of Lower Parel, the space brings together an extraordinary curation of artisan-led brands, collectible design houses, and heritage craft ateliers, offering visitors a journey that is immersive, sensorial, and thoughtfully layered.
The campus is divided into three distinct experiential zones:
- The Shop House – intimate retail galleries showcasing materials, textiles, décor and craft
- The Showroom – immersive brand environments and curated furniture ateliers.
- The Connector – a sculptural ramp doubling as a flowing gallery for emerging artists and installations.
The design houses showcased within Nilaya Anthology include Cassina, Bisazza, Dedar, Cox London, Atelier Ashiesh Shah, and more — along with the debut showcase of The Sabyasachi Art Foundation, making the space a cultural moment in India’s evolving design narrative.
It also includes:
- A Gallery & Event Space for exhibitions, launches, and cultural programming
- The Orangery — a hospitality and social hosting space
- A Material Library, seating lounges & administrative workspaces
- 35 uniquely designed retail stores and showrooms.
Nilaya Anthology is not simply a retail destination—it is a living cultural environment where storytelling, craft heritage, architecture, and technology interact seamlessly.
The Client’s Vision
Asian Paints envisioned Nilaya Anthology as:
- A landmark cultural space rather than a traditional retail showroom.
- A destination where design narratives unfold gradually, space by space.
- A venue capable of hosting curated exhibitions, panel discussions, product showcases, and private cultural gatherings.
- A place where technology enhances emotion rather than distracts from it.
To achieve this, the Audio-Visual and Network systems needed to:
- Remain architecturally invisible
- Offer centralized control with localized flexibility
- Enable multi-format cultural programming
- Deliver a consistent sonic and visual language across diverse spatial experiences
ISSPL’s Role & Scope of Work
Innovative Systems & Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (ISSPL) was entrusted with designing and delivering a centralized, scalable, and aesthetic-sensitive AV & IT infrastructure across the entire facility.
Our scope included:
- Centralized Dante-enabled distributed audio network
- Audio system integration across 35 retail environments
- Large-format LED video walls, signage displays & projection systems
- Multi-zone hospitality audio for The Orangery
- Flexible AV systems for event and gallery programming
- Collaboration & conferencing systems for administrative zones
- Full fibre-based network backbone using Spine-and-Leaf architecture
- Q-SYS CORE610 for centralized processing, routing, and operational control
Q-SYS CORE610 for centralized processing, routing, and operational control

Key Challenges
1. 35 Distinct Spaces, 35 Acoustic Personalities
Every store and gallery had different ceiling volumes, materials, and reverberation characteristics, requiring zone-by-zone tuning.
2. Central Control + Local Flexibility
The system needed to allow central music playback, while enabling local volume and source selection.
3. Design Sensitivity Above All
The system needed to allow central music playback, while enabling local volume and source selection.
4. Complex Network Topology Requirements
Spine-and-Leaf architecture demanded error-free fiber planning and seamless Dante deployment.
5. Multi-use Event Environments
Gallery spaces required rapid switching between ambient atmosphere and professional event mode.
How ISSPL Resolved These Challenges
- Developed store-type based AV architecture to match use-cases and visual design conditions
- Deployed Dante audio networking to enable flexible routing with zero signal loss
- Used discreet architectural speaker systems and custom integration mounts to blend AV into the environment
- Implemented Q-SYS based unified control, making system operation simple for all user profiles
- Conducted extensive acoustic response tuning in collaboration with Munro Acoustics
- Executed installation in phased coordination with architects, brand teams, and interior contractors
Outcome & Impact
- A sensory environment where sound and visual media enhance storytelling without drawing attention
- A space that feels curated, immersive, and emotionally intentional
- Centralized control of the entire AV ecosystem with minimal operational complexity
- A future-ready platform that supports exhibitions, brand showcases, performances, talks, and events
- A scalable infrastructure supporting evolving creative programming
