The Amphitheatre Called as Raj Darbar is a Part of the Shrimad Rajchandra mission Dharampur Ashram, is primarily used for large outdoor gatherings, daily Satsang’s, and Large-Scale events. It can accommodate more than 10,000devotees at once.
The audio solution for this project was designed to fit within budget constraints while meeting all requirements. The challenge was to select a solution that provided excellent coverage and sound quality.
After multiple simulations and mappings, the solution was finalized. It utilizes asymmetric passive column array speakers by Tannoy Professional, which offer asymmetric vertical coverage and wider horizontal coverage. A total of 10 speakers are installed on the sides to cover the entire width of the amphitheatre, along with four subwoofers mounted in a cardioid bass array and four centre fill-in speakers for the plaza area.
All speakers are powered by Labgruppen’s E-Series amplifiers, and Audio processing is managed by Lake speaker processors. The Behringer X32 digital mixing console is used for input processing and recalling different presets based on daily usage scenarios. Additionally, a Behringer digital stage box is used for connecting wired sources such as microphones, instrument mics, and Musical Instruments.
