Project Overview
Kirloskar Brothers Headquarters, located in Pune, undertook an upgrade of their main boardroom AV system. This design-and-build project was executed by us, combining simplicity and sophistication to keep system operation intuitive while offering various functionalities required in a modern boardroom.
Video System
The video system includes:
One Panasonic projector and a 65” LED display.
Lightware’s Taurus series UCX Switcher and MMX8x4-HT420M Matrix Switcher with TPS Series HDMI Extender system.
CX-50 system allowing for wireless presentations and video conferencing.
Control and Audio Backend
The control and audio backend utilizes the Q-SYS ecosystem:
Q-SYS Core 110f v2 with peripheral devices like 2 Q-SYS QIO-ML4i and 2 Q-SYS Core Nano used in peripheral mode to act as a USB bridge for soft video conferencing.
Poly G7500 codec integrated with Q-SYS PTZ-20x60 cameras. The 2 Q-SYS PTZ cameras are integrated to provide speaker tracking through microphone triggers.
Video Conferencing Modes
The AV system is designed to support three video conferencing modes:
- Conventional SIP-Based Video Calls
- Software-Based Video Conferencing Using Laptops
- Wireless Video Conferencing Using Laptops
This design provides flexibility to utilize various modes for different meeting needs.
Speaker System
Both multipurpose halls utilized existing video systems with new audio upgrades, including:
Polk Audio 265-RT In-Wall Performance Speakers and Polk Audio Active Subwoofers.
8 AD-C6T Premium In-Ceiling Speakers, powered by Q-SYS SPA4-100 amplifiers.
Microphones
Beyerdynamic BM32 Cardioid Boundary Microphones for low-profile installation.
Sennheiser EW 100 Series Wireless Microphones for presentations.
Control Peripherals
QIO IR1x4 and QIO-S4 for easy integration with legacy devices requiring control beyond network capabilities.
